Odyssey > How to run 12-volt trailer lighting from a 24-volt bus. The selector switch allows use with combo lights (one light on each side for both turn signals and brakes) or the "European-style" system of separate brake and turn signal lights. The former is found on almost all trailers, but the latter is found on many cars, should we ever wish to tow one.
Odyssey > The mysterious Automatic Transfer Switch. This drawng is too complex to describe here. There's a description on the Odyssey gear-head page which is a bit out of date (and points to an older drawing), but should suffice until I post something more current.
Odyssey > This is a schematic of the video distribution system. By means of both in-dash and remote (upstairs, in the TV cabinet) video switchers, the driver can select any of three exterior-view cameras: rear-view, forward-view from the top of the bus (remembering that the driver seat is next to the ground), and out the right side and slightly to the rear (otherwise blocked by the coach itself) to see into the enormous right-side blind spot. Three inside camera positions may also be selected, including an infra-red unit in the motorcycle bay. All the feeds coming through the upstairs switcher can also be displayed upstairs on the 30" LCD.
Odyssey > This is the fresh and drinking water distribution system. We have separate tanks for each so that we can fill the larger tank from a potentially non-potable source (a stream, for example, or some highway rest areas). Taps for the separate drinking water system are located in both the kitchen and bath areas. Tanks can be filled by operating fill valves while connected to city water, or through funnel-type manual fill ports.

Odyssey > Circuit to silence the annoying alarm bell in the cockpit.
Odyssey > This is the system we use to conserve water while waiting for the shower (or sink) to get warm. Pushing a button allows water to flow up to the hot side of the tap and then recirculate back to the tank. We used sprinkler valves and arcade pushbuttons for the controls.
